What it does

You collect places as you travel: a café you liked, the hotel you are heading to, the hospital you hope never to need. cvgate stores each one with its coordinates and address, sorts them by how far they are from where you stand, and lets you find them again by speaking.

• Speak, don't type. Say a name and the map opens in about two seconds.
• Collect them in a loop. Look a place up, register it, and you are back at the search with the field already empty, ready for the next one.
• Sorted by distance. Places nearest to you rise to the top, in colour bands you set yourself.
• Marks you define. Twenty-six marks, each named by you — say “hotel” and every hotel comes to the top.
• Emergency information offline. Emergency numbers for 117 countries and local phrases are built in, with hospitals and pharmacies saved for the areas you visit.
• Plans on paper. Export an itinerary as plain text for email, or as a PDF made to be printed.

Built around one idea

cvgate is a thin membrane. It holds what you chose and what you confirmed — and, for the moments when the network is gone, a copy of what you will need to read. Everything else it leaves to the services that do it better.

It does not try to be clever about what you said. If the dictation hears something slightly wrong, the note keeps what was heard, and the search still gets you there. A record that is honest about the day is worth more than a record that was quietly corrected.
